Forum Rules

The Miami Construction Forum was created and is hosted by The Barthet Construction Law Firm.  Our goal is to educate our clients and those in the local construction community.  To ensure our events run smoothly, the following rules apply:

  • Admission Policy
    • Current clients of the Barthet Firm will be given priority access to all events
    • Your receipt of an invitation via postal mail, email, social media post, direct message or from a colleague does not guaranty admission
    • We reserve the right to place you on the waitlist or revoke your invitation at our sole discretion
    • Prior attendance at an event does not guaranty access to future events
    • Walk-ins are not permitted and will not be given access
    • Your repeated failure to attend after a confirmed RSVP may result in your removal from the invitation list for future events
    • By attending, you agree to allow us to use your image and likeness in photos and videos on social media and for marketing purposes
  • Decorum at and After the Events
    • Professional dress and decorum is required
    • There shall be no inappropriate conduct or harassment of any other attendee or staff
    • While casual networking is encouraged, you may not aggressively solicit attendees
    • You may not leave sales materials or business cards on the tables or chairs
    • We reserve the right to remove you from an event
    • While we may provide you a list of attendees’ names and email addresses to permit one-on-one post-event follow ups, you may not bulk email the attendees or enter this information into any CRM (you will not SPAM the attendees)
  • Sponsorship and Speaking Opportunities
    • Thank you, but we do not accept sponsors
    • While we welcome ideas for future events, we will not likely entertain recommendations from recent attendees or those promoting their own service or product
